A long time ago, there was a scholar who failed in the Chinese exam, he was very frustrated. Then he decided to go on a trip. He came to a remote village with peach blossoms in full bloom.  He met a beautiful lady there by chance. They fell in love with each other at first sight, but the scholar had to go back for the next exam, so they departed.

 

Tree years later, the scholar came to the place where he met her first, but there was no trace of the lady.  It was said that the lady had moved away.  Although the scholar was frustrated, he still had to go to the court to serve as an official. When he went to the court, he found that the lady was actually a princess. They looked at each other for a long time. The minister noticed the special atmosphere between them and said that they can't be together.

 

In the end, they decided to confess what relationship they are to the emperor.

The emperor didn't get mad but agree, instead. It was said that people have once seen them under a peach blossom tree in a remote village.
