Una is a doll that has been loved by her little master Vivian. The imaginative girl always goes on many fancy adventures accompanied by Una. They think they will be happy forever, but nothing can be always maintained. Something goes wrong. While Vivian gradually grows up, her mind is changed. She thinks “Now I’m not a child and I don't need Una anymore…...”
We might have come up with many adventures when we were a child. We all had that period of time traveling anywhere as fancy as we could imagine. After the baptism of years, those carefree and wonderful memories gradually faded away and the pure mind disappeared.
We use warm tones to draw, and use handwriting style fonts, hopping to increase the realism. Therefore, we have changed the story plot and characters setting many times, and finally came up with a version that satisfies us.
The picture book ends with a warm ending. Vivian goes back to find Una. As people grow up, we will change our perspective and attitude of things, we think deeper and often feel dissatisfied. The world changes when we grow older, we will get to learn a lot of new things but also lose something that makes us happy. We hope readers can think back to the things they loved in their childhood. And the story also tells us when we encounter setbacks, there will be someone to support you and stay with you. Think about some good memories, remember your original intention.
“All grown-ups were once a child, though, only a few people remember.”
